Bradford HS Senior Portraits | Mikail | class of 2018

Sometimes people ask me how I choose a Sneak Peek photo from each session. It's a real art, you know, choosing the right ONE image.

I stumble over a variety of anguishing thoughts while deciding. These are the main three bullet points…

HOW TO CHOOSE A SNEAK PEEK PHOTO

1. Is it scroll-stopping?

Will the average social media scroller stop in their track-pad to look at this image? Will they even - gasp! - CLICK to read more?? I don't want to jinx myself, but will they even click the link to go to the blog post? If the answer is yes to even one of those questions, USE IT!

2. Will mom freak out?

Will this photo make mom gasp, cry or want to shout from the rooftops about her excellent choice in photographers? (wink wink) USE IT!

3. Is it the best shot of the session?

Sorry folks, but as much as it kills me, I won't ever share the BEST shot of the session as a Sneak Peek. Nope. I save that grouping for the family's private Reveal + Selection Meeting. So... is it the best shot from the session? DON'T USE IT!

So with that abbreviated explanation of my self-talk, allow me to proudly introduce Mikail, class of 2018 from Kenosha's Bradford High School. He is a quiet but devilishly funny kid who is not only smart, but also a great athlete.

This particular shot is from the first stop of our session at Petrifying Springs Park in Kenosha. That's a set of warn, old bleachers Mikail's sitting on. Look at that stare, that look of determination in his eyes. This is most definitely a stop-in-your-tracks kind of portrait.

But, OH WOW, you should see the rest. We moved on from the bleachers and the rest of the session got exponentially better every time we changed spots.

Sorry, you will have to wait to see more. But I promise it will be worth it.

Awesome job, Mikail, on NAILING your senior portraits!
