2nd Annual Thanksgiving Gratitude Feature Post | Jacob

Last year I had an idea, I did it, and this year I'm repeating it.

All moms love to gush on about their children and once a year - at Thanksgiving time - I give my clients at chance to holler from the rooftops (or my blog, anyway) about how proud they are of their kids, how much they love their little ones and how grateful they are to have these babies - big and small - in their lives.

I am thankful for Jacob for so many reasons that even in the space of a novel I don’t think I could cover them all. I will share a few of them. When Jacob was born, after years of early pregnancy losses and heartbreak, he ignited in me a love so great, the likes of which I didn’t know I was capable of. I fell madly in love with my beautiful boy. He was everything I had dreamed of and more. He had the same beautiful brown eyes that he has today. They were always bright and alert and seemed to belong on somene much older and wiser than this small human. Throughout these 17 years I have been grateful for his friendship, his hilarious antics that have me crying with laughter and his kindnesss. I am also incredibly grateful for the music he has filled our house with. Every day I get to hear him play his guitar and sing. It fills me with such happiness every time I hear the music begin, whether it is his guitar, drums or his newest attempt at a one man band. His ability to work tirelessly and be the best he can be in the things he loves (baseball and music) fills me with pride and admiration. I’m just so grateful for my him being MY SON. I love you Jacob!

Don't let another minute pass before you tell your children how much you love and appreciate them. Because it's Thanksgiving you have permission to be extra sappy.
