Tosa West volleyball player | class of 2019 sneak peek

Sometimes photography can be truly magical. I have learned a lot about lighting, giving me the ability to make something out of nothing, to make darkness out of light. (Yes, you read that right.)

I met Joe and his mom Andrea at the Tosa West High School gym for part one (part two will be this week when it's not raining) of his senior portraits. The lights were all on, it was as bright as day in that place.

This is the behind the scenes shot of the gym. I swear those big, unflattering fluorescent gym  lights were on the brightest setting.

I knew what I wanted my end result to look like, and I promise the photo above wasn't it.

My second favorite part of accomplishing my goal with lighting was showing Joe and Andrea the back of my camera and seeing their astonished reactions. Oh, my first favorite part? Nailing it.

Here is Joe's Sneak Peek... and let me just say - giddily - that I'm saving the really amazing, dramatic, draw-dropping shots for their Reveal + Selection Appointment.

Yearbook deadlines are approaching but it's not too late! Let's get your high school senior scheduled for senior portraits and I'll make sure their photo arrives to the yearbook advisor on time. I'm now booking sessions in September and beyond.

Fill out this quick form and I'll get back to you right away.
