3rd Annual Thanksgiving Gratitude Featured Post | Klug Kids

Here's another (SUPER SWEET) post from a (SUPER SWEET) portrait client. This family is so wonderful, it's no surprise that these girls are such good kids.

Gemma and Gabby-

Words cannot express how grateful I am to be your mom. It has been an amazing journey so far watching you grow into yourselves and explore different avenues in life.

Gemma, you are the most creative kid I have ever met and you have already (at age 6) surpassed me in artistic/creative abilities and you impress me on a daily basis with your understanding of how things work. You can and DO turn anything and everything into art or a functional tool. The things you create bring such laughter and joy into the world. I am excited and a lot of bit terrified to see what you come up with when you figure out how to use power tools.

Gabby, you will always be the baby in this family, but you have blossomed into quite the social butterfly. You have the sweetest little giggle and smile that ask, “Will you please play with me?” I love watching you interact with other kids and seeing you (mostly) being so welcoming and accepting of everyone.

I can’t imagine my world without this happy mix of your two very different personalities and I will be forever grateful for this time I get with you! I can’t wait to see what you little ladies come up with next!

A Peek Behind the Curtain | week 3

I love taking pictures of food. Ha, but not because I'm some serious foodie.

I like capturing what I eat - will it be the same next month? Next year? In five years?

I like capturing the food's details - the colors, textures, the hot and cold of it.

And then, sometimes, my meal happens to be the only thing that would sit still for me that day. :)

week 3

I have become a lettuce snob. Over the summer I made a habit of buying lettuce - just like this - by the pound at the Tosa Farmer's Market. Seeing that it is winter in Wisconsin, I had to improvise my salad ingredients. I bought a big container of this lettuce from Costco and LOVED it. When I can't get all the way to Costco, I buy it from the grocery store but oh, wow, it's so expensive there! Knowing that I will eat it (all) and it tastes better than a regular head of green or red leaf lettuce, it makes the extra cost worth it.

A Peek Behind the Curtain | week 2

This week. Well.

What started as a potentially "fun" snow (cold) day, ended up as two. And by the time it had "warmed up" enough to send the kids to school, let's just say they would have been waiting at the school doors whether they were welcome or not.

And now we wrap up this confusingly short week with the most awesome weather EVER. I totally love freezing rain. NOT. Be safe, people. Whatever it is, it's not worth it. Go home and light a fire.

week 2

Even the kitty needs a little entertainment on a cold winter's weekend.
