Jazmany is the second senior I've photographed from this family - with one more still to come! I'll be honest, he wasn't totally sure about the whole thing at first. But that's exactly what the pre-session consultation is for. Once we sat down and he got to have a say in the process (and choosing Milwaukee's Third Ward as his location) something shifted. He was in.
Then the magic happened on session day. A few shots in, I showed him what we were capturing, and he did a literal double take. He couldn't believe that was him in the photos.
That moment never gets old. Getting to show someone themselves the way others see them - confident, capable, at their best - is honestly the greatest part of this job. I'm so lucky.
