Tosa West HS senior photos | Kate + class of 2019

Nay, nay. We are NOT done with the senior portraits.

Today I present to you a Sneak Peek from this weekend’s session with Kate.

Kate is a senior at Wauwatosa West High School and - what d’ya know - she’s one of the yearbook editors!

If you’re new to the blog, (welcome!) I’ve had the privilege of photographing not one… not two but THREE yearbook editors for their senior portraits. Why does this matter?

Well, the truth is, it might not matter.

But to me it does. Something you may not know about me is that I was the loyal assistant to the editor of my own high school yearbook. I spent many late nights at my friend Donna’s house putting the book together… by hand. See, back in the day we hand cut articles, pasted photos and layed out the entire book on - what’s that stuff? - PAPER.

I know, I know. But what can I say? Paper was a big deal back then.

So, enough reminiscing. Let’s get on with it!

Ladies and gentlemen, I hope you’re sitting down. Kate is an absolute stunner.

Do you still need your senior portraits? I have limited number of openings remaining. But… I DO have some openings. Let’s get your session booked PRONTO.

Tosa West HS class of 2019 | Haisam's Sneak Peek

Just when you think I’m done with senior portraits…. I’m back!

Here is another fantastic Tosa West class of 2019 senior. This is Haisam.

He and his mom came into the studio for his photo shoot. While we did some AMAZING studio shots (I’m saving those for their Reveal + Selection Meeting!) this image really speaks volumes about Haisam and his laid back personality.

He was a pleasure to work with and really, was so comfortable and relaxed. I can’t wait to share the rest of his session.

Aaron's Senior Portrait Sneak Peek | Brookfield East class of 2019

Last week, I met this great kid named Aaron and his lovely mom, Lisa, at a nearby park for Aaron's senior portrait session.

Aaron was totally relaxed and fun to work with. He's a go-with-the-flow kind of kid. I like that. Not only does it make my job easier (than it already was), it makes it more fun, too. I could keep coming up with ideas and he'd be totally down with anything. "Hey, Aaron! Jump in the pond..." I'm sure he would have if I'd asked.

While I was looking over the photos from his session, this one struck me.

Not only is he completely and totally natural looking, but I knew I had to convert this one to black and white. There are more from this set with the blue wall - I couldn't make them all black and white - that would be a crime! But one is okay, right?

The color is so vibrant - oh, and THAT WALL! But the black and white is so classic and timeless.

What do you think? Which do you prefer?

School is back in session. That means your yearbook photo is due soon... don't wait too long or you'll be sorry and end up using your ID photo. (Nooooo!!!!) You may need more information before booking, or you may be ready to go. Choose a button and click it...

Tosa East HS class of 2019 | Mary's Sneak Peek

I have a special announcement from the Editor-in-Chief of the Wauwatosa East High School yearbook. Mary is her name and she wants to remind you to get your senior photos done and to PLEASE submit them on time!

Just kidding.

I mean, you should submit your photo on time, but Mary didn't actually tell me to pass on that message.

But I really did photograph this adorable yearbook editor. She and her mom were completely wonderful and warm and I felt like I was hanging out with old friends. (No, I didn't just call you old!)

Here is Mary's gorgeous Sneak Peek from her photo session.

Do you need a suggestion for someone who can help with your senior portraits? I think I might know a photographer...
