World, meet Mary! She’s about to graduate from Tosa East High School. This multi-passionate and intelligent young lady successfully managed to balance several extracurricular activities while achieving the Dean’s List every semester.

Mary just returned from St. Louis for the Global Competition for Destination Imagination. Her team placed 13th in the WORLD!

SCHOOL

Wauwatosa East High School

FAVORITE SUBJECT

I like biology because I like learning about evolution and ecology but I also like history because I like learning about public policy.

SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS

I have been on high honor roll each semester of high school. I won a writing contest with the Tosa All City Read in sophomore year and I was the recipient of the library leadership award junior year.

I am involved in a lot of extracurriculars at school. I am editor of the school yearbook, copy manager for the newspaper, president of the environmental club, president of student council, varsity tennis captain and a member of amnesty international, feminist club, Key Club, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and Destination Imagination.

WORK

I tutor for two sisters.

FOR FUN

I like to read, hike, watch movies and hang out with friends.

POST-GRAD PLANS

I'm looking at small colleges in the northeast and in California where I can study environmental studies. Right now I really like Williams and Bowdoin.
