Krueger Family Sneak Peek | under the Wisconsin "palm trees"

My luck with Mother Nature has officially run out. All summer and into the fall I would request sunshine, clear skies and warm temperatures for all my outdoor portrait sessions. I had a pretty good track record, too!

It appears I’ve fallen on Mother Nature’s bad side or SOMEthing. Because this weekend was not ideal in any way for family portraits in the park.

However, Mom in Charge, Karla knew the park like the back of her hand (surprise party trick perhaps?). She directed us to a beautiful field protected from the leaky skies by a canopy of evergreen trees. Or, as I insisted we call them that day, “palm trees”. It’s all in the eye of the beholder, right?

We made it work and this gorgeous family LITERALLY grinned and beared it.

I don’t want to share anything TOO good and spoil the surprise for later (they’re good! they’re really good!) BUT here is what may be the most adorable outtake I’ve seen in good long while.

I’d even say it’s worth framing.
