Who is your ideal client?
Someone who cares about whole foods and eating well and cannot cook for themselves, whether due to restrictions or lack of time

What is something people THINK they know about your job?
Most people think I am a caterer and that I prepare food for drop off from a set menu. As a personal chef, I work with each client's unique needs, handling planning, shopping, cooking and cleaning. All my work is done in the client's home, whether I cook multiple meals for enjoying later or helping them host a dinner party.

Name one thing you WISH people knew about your job?
Hiring a chef is not too expensive or only for the very wealthy. Since 2015, Americans are spending more eating out than on groceries and preparing meals at home. Eating out regularly can be very costly and not just to one's pocketbook! Meals from Down to Earth Chef range from $9-17 a serving. No tipping necessary!

Tell us a secret about your job. 
It's a pretty rare moment when I do not think about food. Even off the clock, I am thinking about, reading about or preparing food. Yes, I do get plenty of sleep.

What is the ONE book that you think I should read RIGHT NOW?
Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson

I love being a small business owner in the Greater Milwaukee area. Connecting with other small business owners, like Stories Framed, makes business more fun. Working toward common goals of helping others and building our own prosperity just makes me happy!
