Today’s Senior Spotlight is brought to you by the letter S…. for SPUNK.

Taylor was so much fun to photograph. Not only did she KNOW how to move in front of the camera, her wardrobe was ON POINT! As you will see, her clothing choices went from romantic and whimsical to rocking and rebel. I love it - her choices truly show all facets of her personality.

Based on Taylor’s jaw-dropping portraits, let’s talk about some simple styling tips to make your senior portraits equally amazing. Keep reading as you scroll through for all five suggestions.

5 SENIOR PORTRAIT STYLING TIPS FROM TAYLOR

1 | CHANGE UP YOUR HAIR. Taylor had her hair braided, then loose and flowing. One outfit, two looks for her hair - and it changed everything! Later on, when she changed her wardrobe, she adjusted her hairstyle once again - this time a ponytail. And, if we had any doubt thus far, yes - she nailed it.

2 | CLOTHING IS AN EXTENSION OF YOUR PERSONALITY. Taylor’s personal style, personality and clothing choice all corresponded with one another. We aren’t all one-sided… your portraits shouldn’t be either. Why not bring contrasting outfits, if that’s how you flow. Or perhaps complementary is more your style. These are your photos - who do you want to show off? (Keep scrolling to see just how beautifully Taylor pulled off contrasting looks.)

3 | MATCH THE OUTFITS TO THE LOCATION. Not only do want to consider all the outfits you will wear, we need to think about how they look in the locations you have picked out. Look at Taylor’s photos and how we “matched” the surroundings with her outfits… especially that last series! Wow!

4 | DON’T FORGET ACCESSORIES. Those earrings? Yup, they MADE the outfit. And her belt and chains? Chef’s kiss! Imagine her outfit without those two accessories? Exactly.

5 | SHOW OFF YOUR PERSONALITY. Don’t be shy. Give me a smile, laugh, squint, gawk, glare. Why not dance? This is your chance to show the world who you are and how fun you can be! Combine a genuine expression with your favorite outfit and a location you love…. fantastic photos that tell your story.

Thanks, Taylor, for these great tips. Your bright spirit radiates through your photos. Congratulations and best wishes with your high school graduation.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
