New Berlin West class of 2027 Sneak Peek | Liam

Do you know when your senior's yearbook photo is due?

Hold that thought. Liam first.

Liam picked Seven Bridges Park. Green everywhere, stone steps built right into the hill, and the light coming through the leaves like somebody ordered it special. He sat down on those steps like he'd been sitting there his whole life and gave me the real smile. Not the school picture smile. The one his mom knows.

Striped sweater, jeans, done. Some seniors take an hour to settle in. Liam took about four minutes.

New Berlin West, you've got a good one in Liam.

Now back to that deadline

Yearbook photos are starting to come due.

Every school sets its own date, and they arrive quicker than families expect. If you know your school's deadline, send it to me. If you don't, ask the yearbook adviser this week and then send it to me. I'll submit the file in the exact crop, size and format they want. That's my job, not yours.

While you're thinking about it, here's the rest of the short list for your senior portraits:

  • Pick the announcement photo. Whatever comes after May (college, trade school, military, a job, a year to figure it out), people are going to want to celebrate it with you. Announcements and grad parties sneak up fast in spring.

  • Order one thing for the wall. You've got the photos. Don't let them live on a phone. A blank wall where your kid's face should be is an opportunity to make a smart and love-filled decision.

  • Grab one clean head and shoulders frame. Scholarship applications, job applications, team rosters, college housing forms. That one frame gets used all year long.

  • Book the family portrait while everybody's still home. This is the last easy year.

  • Back up your gallery in two places. Download it, then put a copy somewhere that isn't your phone. Phones get dropped in lakes. (Ask me how I know.)

I photograph high school seniors from New Berlin West, New Berlin Eisenhower, Brookfield, Wauwatosa West, Elm Grove, Pewaukee, Muskego and all over Waukesha County, from my studio at 155 S. Executive Dr. in Brookfield.

Still need to book that fall senior portrait session? Let’s talk! Time’s a-ticking! Yearbook photo deadlines are coming up soon for the entire Milwaukee area.
