Muskego High School class of 2026 Sneak Peek | Dashel

Meet Dashel - the next featured high school senior. He will graduate with the Muskego High School Class of 2026.

Good ol’ Dashel is looking SO cool and collected even though we had a different kind of challenge at his session: mosquitos. 🦟 Lots of them. Is this the new Wisconsin State Bird? (I hope not!)

Since summer (and fall!) in Wisconsin often means battling these little pests - this year more than usual, here are:

5 TIPS TO KEEP MOSQUITOES FROM RUINING YOUR SENIOR PORTRAITS

1. CHOOSE AN INDOOR LOCATION
If you’d rather skip the mosquitos entirely, indoor sessions are a great option. Come to my Brookfield studio, we can visit a coffee shop, libraries, or even urban architecture (like parking structures or even hotel lobbies) can make amazing backdrops.

2. SPRAY AHEAD OF TIME
Apply bug spray before you arrive so your skin has time to dry. This keeps mosquitos away without having a sticky look in photos.

3. KEEP MOVING
Standing still makes you an easy target. Switching up poses and locations not only helps avoid bites, but it also keeps your portraits dynamic and fun.

4. BRING A BUDDY
A parent, sibling, or friend can play “mosquito patrol,” brushing bugs away while I’m focusing on the photography.

5. TREAT BITES AFTER THE SESSION
Look, I’m right there with you! Hydrocortisone cream or an anti-itch stick can help soothe any stubborn bites once we’re done.

At the end of the day, your portraits should show you—not red, itchy bumps! No mosquitos - or bites - will make any appearances in your photos. In that you can trust.

Congratulations, Dashel, on your senior year with the Class of 2026!

Ready for senior portraits (with or without mosquitos)? Let’s make it happen—schedule your session now. (Don’t forget to look up when your yearbook photo is due!)
