Class of 2017

Kettle Moraine HS senior portraits | class of 2017 | Nick

Today is yet another high school graduation celebration! Let's send a big shout-out to Nick and his family for a successful senior year at Kettle Moraine High School. Woot woot!

I had a fun time working with Nick on his senior portraits. First of all, he's got a great sense of humor. Lucky for me, he totally went along with my stupid 4th grade jokes.

Nick is an artist. He loves to draw and create new characters from his imagination.

Coincidentally, there were a few (non-imaginary) characters watching us during his photo shoot....

So, you see, Nick lives on a FARM. Those guys are his goats! And they wanted in on the action.

I always like to ask students if they have a favorite teacher. Nick did, and was glad to tell me why. Mr. Barder kept the class entertained and he taught so Nick stayed focused.

Nick may be unique in his likes, dislikes, wishes and desires, but one thing I observed from our conversation is that he is a classic-minded kid. He likes Billy Joel, Barnes & Noble and the color blue. You can't go wrong with that!

Random Fact: The tree in this photo is certified as the largest tree in southeast Wisconsin. It's so big you can't even hug it!

At the end of Nick's photo shoot/tour around his farm, we met up with a VIP -- a Very Important Pup.

Congratulations to Nick on his graduation from Kettle Moraine High School. I can't wait to see what you do with your future!

Muskego HS Senior Portraits | class of 2017 | Nathan

Welcome to Stories Framed Photography's Senior Month

I love when moms come back to me with their younger children as they become seniors, it's the biggest compliment I could receive. Last year I photographed Arthur. This year it's Nathan's turn.

And heeeere's... NATHAN.

Nathan will be graduating from Muskego High School. He may be a quiet kid, but he's not too shy. He did a FANTASTIC job at his session. His smile is warm and his eyes are thoughtful.

Nathan was really fun to work with, easy going and very calm.

(And his mom is a doll!)

Congratulations, Nathan! Best of luck to you!

Germantown HS Senior Portraits | class of 2017 | Joey

Welcome to Stories Framed Photography's Senior Month!

The high school senior class of 2017 will be graduating in the next month and things are really getting exciting for these kids. I mean, they had prom, they have senior ditch day, they've stopped doing homework...

This month I am so excited to share my class of 2017 seniors. You may have seen some of their photos floating around the Stories Framed universe, but here they are in all their glory.

Let's start with... JOEY

Joey is graduating from Germantown High School and is as smart as a whip.

And he has a great sense of style.

Also, he's a sweet kid.

Okay, I'll stop.

Okay, one more thing. When we were shooting his session, Joey was SO easy to work with. He practically read my mind when I needed him to turn a certain way. He seemed truly comfortable in front of the camera. If academics don't work out for you, kid, you can start a modeling career.

Congratulations Joey! Best of luck to you in your future!

Hey, class of 2018! Don't procrastinate getting your senior portraits scheduled. It may seem early but I promise you, it's not. Let's talk!

Wauwatosa East High School | class of 2017 | Emma's sneak peek

Here we go... one more quick sneak peek of a class of 2017 senior session.

I have to say this about Emma. She SMILES. Like, ALL the time. I love getting some more serious looks from these kids but that just was NOT going to happen. Emma smiles.

And I loved it.

Here's your Sneak Peek, sweet Emma. Hope you like it!

Kettle Moraine HS | class of 2017 sneak peek | Nick

This is very belated. I promised Nick a sneak peek of his session and then Labor Day weekend happened. I never realized quite how important the holiday actually was. I celebrated - clearly! -  by not laboring.*

No matter. Here is the charming senior from Kettle Moraine High School...Nick!

The tree he is leaning against is actually a very significant tree. Nay, nay, it's not your average, regular tree. It's the largest tree of its type** in the state of Wisconsin. Or the world. I can't quite remember which one it was that he said.

*It was bothering me that I didn't really know why we celebrate Labor Day. From the U.S. Department of Labor website:

"Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country."

It was passed as a bill by Congress in 1894. So there. Now you know.

**Yet another example of my ignorance about things found in nature and gardens. I have no idea what kind of tree that is. But she's a giant beauty!

Need some light entertainment while having your senior pictures taken? I would be glad to offer my services. I guarantee you will love your photos. The jokes you hear? Eh.
